Cambodia is rich in history, Angkor Wat is evidence of this. Around the 1st century Cambodia was made up of a bunch of little kingdoms. These kingdoms decided to join forces and create the strongest kingdom in SE Asia history. They were amazing architects and started building Angkor Wat in 802 under the rule of Jayavarman II. Jayavarman II was the self proclaimed king of the world (I've decided that I'm going to start self proclamations), and created a new religion in Cambodia.....worship the god-kings....which he was the first of....hehehehe. Anyway, it's pretty cool to see, got a 3 day pass so I can take my time. We had an argument with our tuk-tuk driver yesterday when he tried to severly rip us off....so we're going to rent pedal bikes and head back out today.
